When Concrete Work May Not Be the Right Answer
Patching a base or drainage problem
If cracking is caused by poor subgrade or drainage that hasn't been addressed, a surface repair won't last. The underlying issue needs to be fixed first — otherwise you're paying twice.
Expecting same-day use after a pour
Concrete in Arizona heat still requires a curing window. Foot traffic, vehicle loads, and furniture all have different wait times. If the timeline doesn't work, now is the time to say so.
Not yet ready to fix the cracking cause
Tree roots, water intrusion, and shifting soil will crack new concrete the same way they cracked the old. If the cause isn't resolved, concrete isn't the long-term solution.
