From First Contact to Final Finish — Every Step Explained
Most concrete surprises happen because the process wasn't explained clearly at the start. Botta's runs an 8-step process that keeps every homeowner informed from estimate request through final walkthrough.
Submit Your Project Details
Use the estimate request form to share your name, contact info, project address, project type, whether existing concrete needs to come out, your desired timeline, and any photos you have. Photos of the existing slab, site access, and drainage areas are especially helpful.
Botta's Reviews the Scope
The team reviews what you've submitted. If photos are missing or access details need clarification, we'll reach out before scheduling. Most submissions receive a follow-up within one business day.
Site Visit (If Needed)
For most projects, a brief site visit confirms what the form and photos can't show — base condition, drainage, access constraints, and finish options. This is where scope is finalized.
Written Scope and Estimate
You receive a written breakdown of what is included, what could change scope, what the timeline looks like, and what the final cost is based on. No verbal-only estimates — the scope is on paper before work starts.
Scheduling and Prep
Once the scope is accepted, work is scheduled. In summer months, timing is planned around temperature windows — typically early morning pours to manage curing conditions. Staging and access requirements are confirmed.
Pour and Finish
Concrete is poured to spec. Mix design, reinforcement, and finish type are all confirmed before pour day. The crew works to the agreed finish — broom, exposed aggregate, stamped, colored, or plain.
Curing
Curing is not the end of the job — it's where the strength is built. In Mesa summer heat, curing windows are narrow. Botta's uses appropriate covers, moisture retention, and timing to protect the slab while it sets.
Final Walkthrough and Handoff
Before the job is closed, you're walked through the finished slab. Use restrictions, cure completion time, and what to watch for in the first 30 days are all explained.
